Michael Schenker Fest announce new 2019 studio album

Michael Schenker Fest – led by guitar legend Michael Schenker and featuring current and former members of Michael Schenker Group, Gary Moore, Demon Angels, and more – have announced plans to record a new studio album, set for release this August via Nuclear Blast.

Schenker, who celebrates his 64th birthday today (1/10), had the following to say:

Thank you to my fans all around the world for all the birthday messages I have received today. I’d like to take this opportunity to repay your kind birthday messages by announcing that I am currently in the studio with Michael Voss recording a second Michael Schenker Fest studio album. With great pleasure we will once again have Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, Robin McAuley and Doogie White on vocals with Chris Glen (Bass) Ted McKenna (Drums) and Steve Mann (Keys / Guitar). It’s great to keep the family together for another studio album and it’ already sounding great.

The upcoming LP follows last year’s debut, Resurrection, which features singles “Take Me To The Church,” “Warrior,” and “Heart And Soul” (check out streams below).

In addition, Michael Schenker Fest will tour North America this spring, kicking off shenanigans mid-April with five gigs in California and cruising through a slew of other big U.S. and Canadian markets.

New York stops on the trek include Albany at The Egg on May 5 [TIX], Manhattan at Irving Plaza on May 11 [TIX], and Westbury at The Space at Westbury on May 12 [TIX].

The run eventually ends in Austin, TX at the Empire Garage — all dates can be viewed below.
