Fates Warning by Stephanie Cabral
Connecticut progressive metal vets Fates Warning have just inked a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records, a label who knows them very well as they’ve released their first ten albums (out of a total of twelve LPs), including gems like A Pleasant Shade of Gray, Disconnected, and Parallels. Inside Out Music released the band’s last two efforts, Theories of Flight and Darkness in a Different Light.
“All of us in FATES WARNING are happy to announce that we are back with Metal Blade Records,” declares vocalist Ray Alder. “Metal Blade has been there for us since the very beginning and we are proud to call them part of our family. The journey begins again, and we cannot begin to say how excited we are to work together once more. A big thank you to our fans for sticking with us through all these years. We could not be here today without all of you. That is a fact. Thank you everyone. Here’s to making some new memories!”
Additionally, Fates Warning says they’ll begin work on their thirteenth studio album soon, which they plan to drop sometime in 2020.
As posted, Fates Warning will join up with Queensrÿche (who release their new LP, The Verdict, on 3/1), and The Cringe (on select dates) for a U.S. tour in late winter / early spring. The trek invades NYC’s Irving Plaza on March 9 [TIX].
