Atlanta alt-metal giants Sevendust are in the midst of a tour of the U.S., boasting support from Florida heavy metallers Tremonti, NOLA headbangers Cane Hill, GA alt-rock unit Lullwater, and Oklahoma City’s own Kirra.
Huntington, NY hosted a stop at The Paramount on February 13th, featuring an explosive closing set from Sevendust, who performed huge classic favorites like opening track “Black,” plus “Praise,” “Enemy,” “Angel’s Son,” along with final tracks “Splinter” and “Face to Face.” Absent were fresh songs from last year’s All I See Is War, though “Thank You” from 2015’s Kill the Flaw graced the setlist’s second to last spot.
Tremonti shredded the stage with OG hits of their own, including “Cauterize,” “You Waste Your Time,” “Another Heart,” “The Things I’ve Seen,” “Flying Monkeys,” and final track “Wish You Well.” Last year’s A Dying Machine was represented very well, too, with numbers “Bringer of War,” Throw Them to the Lions,” and the LP’s title-track booming through Long Island.
Cane Hill threw down cuts from their latest offering, Too Far Gone, counting pummeling hits like “Lord of Flies,” “10¢,” “It Follows,” “Erased,” “Singing in the Swamp,” and more. Meanwhile, Lullwater and Kirra revved up the crowd early on in the night, receiving a warm welcome from the LI rock and metal scene.
The tour runs through March in San Antonio, TX, all remaining dates are here.
