Flogging Molly

Los Angeles’ Flogging Molly brought Celtic punk vibes to New York earlier this week (Feb. 26th) as part of an ongoing romp through North America that kicked off at Connecticut’s Foxwood Resort & Casino a few weeks back.

The Irish-Americans stormed Huntington’s The Paramount for a massive set that featured songs from the band’s latest Vanguard / Spinefarm release and first LP in six years, Life Is Good, boasting folk anthems like “The Hand of John L. Sullivan,” “The Days We’ve Yet to Meet,” the effort’s title-track, and “Crushed (Hostile Nations)” (ft. snippets of “Respect” and “Think” by Aretha Franklin and “We Will Rock You” by Queen). The band also dished out boisterous tunes from their pre-2010 releases Float, Within a Mile of Home, Drunken Lullabies and Swagger, performing huge favorites such as “Requiem for a Dying Song,” “Rebels of the Sacred Heart,” “Devil’s Dance Floor,” “What’s Left of the Flag,” “If I Ever Leave This World Alive,” closer “Salty Dog,” and more during their 19-song display in LI.

Scroll down for exclusive photos from the gig, including a few shots of openers Lucero and The Huntress and Holder of Hands.
