English psychedelic rock act Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats and Swedish hard rockers Graveyard recently completed a March co-headlining tour titled ‘Peace Across the Wasteland,’ which launched in Philly a few weeks ago, closing out in Canada this past weekend.
The outing landing in New York City at Brooklyn Steel on Thursday (March 28th), with Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats kicking off their set with “I See Through You,” from their newest release, Wasteland. The band went on to play “Shockwave City,” “Blood Runner,” and “No Return” from said Rise Above Records release. The group’s mystical ritual also featured favorites like “Death’s Door,” “I’ll Cut You Down,” and “13 Candles” from 2011’s Blood Lust, plus numbers off 2001’s Volume 1, 2013’s Mind Control, and 2015’s The Night Creeper, giving fans a sample of their entire discography during their 13-song set.
Graveyard closed out the evening, performing songs off their 2018 effort, Peace, like set openers “Walk On,” “Please Don’t,” and “The Fox,” and eventually dealing out “Bird of Paradise,” “Cold Love,” “It Ain’t Over Yet,” and “Low (I Wouldn’t Mind)” throughout the evening. The quartet played tons of hits off 2011’s Hisingen Blues, like the title-track, plus “Uncomfortably Numb,” “Buying Truth (Tack & Förlåt),” and others, and also dished out a few songs from 2012’s Lights Out, like “An Industry of Murder,” “Goliath,” and more. The riffers closed out their main set with “Magnetic Shunk” off 2015’s Innocence & Decadence.
We’ve got a bunch of exclusive shots, along with full set-lists from the NYC concert in the gallery below.
