Illusionist Criss Angel announces NYC residency

Criss Angel – NY-born magician, entertainer and rocker (he performed in the hair metal band Angel in the late ’80s and industrial act Angeldust after that) – has announced a Broadway residency in New York City as part of his ‘Criss Angel Raw – The Mindfreak Unplugged’ show.

“CRISS ANGEL has dominated the world of magic for over a decade, but even with his incomparable success, Criss’ passion is to constantly create and bring his magic revolution to fans everywhere,” declares a press release. “For this special limited engagement, ANGEL will bring a revolutionary closing illusion – 18 years in the making and the most spectacular ever seen on Broadway – to New York audiences.”

Criss himself adds, “Mindfreak started in 2001 in the heart of Times Square, the WWE basement, and now to be back home in New York with my all-new show RAW, playing in a storied Broadway theater where Doug Henning once performed, is a dream come true. RAWis a completely different show than Mindfreakin Las Vegas. It’s intimate and reveals a different side of me – while of course still blowing your mind!”

The showings take place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) from July 2 – 7, with a total of eight performances booked. Tickets go on sale to the public starting this Friday (4/12) at 10 AM. Check out the full schedule below.
