Ronnie James Dio U.S. hologram tour dates revealed

Dio live at Radio City Music Hall in 2007 by Stephen Lovekin…

A U.S. trek featuring a hologram performance by the late great Ronnie James Dio and featuring Dio members Craig Goldy (guitar), Simon Wright (drums), Scott Warren (keyboards), along with Bjorn Englen (bass), plus vocalists Tim “Ripper” Owens (The Three Tremors) and Oni Logan (ex-Lynch Mob) is a go!

Wright says, “Looking forward to hitting the road with this incredible piece of technology and celebrating Ronnie and his timeless music again with his friends and fans.”

A press release adds, “This 90-minute celebration of Ronnie James Dio will include all of the great fan favorites – such as “Holy Diver”, “King of Rock N’ Roll” and “We Rock” – taking fans on a DIO journey from Rainbow to Black Sabbath, to his own DIO material – with the legend himself!”

The ‘Dio Returns Tour’ is set to kick off in late May in Ft. Myers, FL, and hits a total of 18 markets before closing out in Las Vegas at the end of June. Long Island’s The Paramount will host the run on June 9 [TIX]. Additionally, a show in Asbury Park, NJ at the Paramount Theatre happens on June 8 [TIX].
