Sabaton to storm North America with HammerFall

Sabaton live at PlayStation Theater in 2017 by Johnny Perilla

Swedish heavy metal battalion Sabaton have announced their grand return to North America in the form of a fall assault with fellow Swedes HammerFall in tow.

Sabaton say, “NORTH AMERICA, prepare for a Swedish invasion! We will reach your shores in early October with our new album “The Great War”, a bigger production than before & the templars of steel in Hammerfall as special guests! Get ready for a damn good dose of Swedish heavy metal!”

Sabaton‘s North American crusade coincides with the band’s upcoming 20th anniversary celebration, and serves as support for the release of their ninth full-length album, The Great War, which officially drops on July 19th through Nuclear Blast. As per a press release, “Keeping with their tradition of metallic battle hymns about the feats of man in wartime, the new record will be a concept album dedicated entirely to the World War I.”

The run’s second-to-last stop happens at New York City’s PlayStation Theater on November 2 [TIX]. Full tour dates, plus the video for Sabaton‘s newest single titled “Bismarck” (which is separate from The Great War), can be viewed below.

Prior to their trek with Sabaton, HammerFall will invade the U.S. for their ‘Three Nights of Dominion‘ U.S. mini-trek, which is in support the band’s newest LP Dominion (out 8/16), and is set to hit Brooklyn Bazaar (w/ Winter Nights, ShadowStrike, DJ Alex Kayne) on September 10 [TIX].
