Kansas performing ‘Leftoverture’ & ‘Point of Know Return’ in NYC

Kansas by Emily Butler

As part of the band’s upcoming North American ‘Point of Know Return Anniversary Tour,’ hard rock legends Kansas have announced an exclusive, “one night only” show in New York City at the Beacon Theatre on December 14, featuring a full performance of their 1976 fourth studio album, Leftoverture, and their 1977 fifth studio record, Point of Know Return, in full, accompanied by other fan favorite tracks. Tickets go on sale to the public starting this Friday (5/17) at 10am.

“You do not find many theaters more famous than The Beacon Theatre in New York City,” says Kansas guitarist Zak Rizvi in a press release. “Add in being in New York City during the holidays, as someone who grew up an avid KANSAS fan, this is a concert I would travel to attend. Between touring and recording a new album, 2019 was already set up to be incredible for the band. This concert will really cap it off.”

Kansas‘ impending U.S. and Canadian run will also hit Albany’s Palace Theatre on October 26, Rochester’s Kodak Center Theater on November 8, Erie, PA at Warner Theatre on November 9, and much more. All dates can be viewed below. All tickets are HERE.

Along with Rizvi, Kansas is currently rounded out by original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist/vocalist Billy Greer, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist David Ragsdale, keyboardist Tom Brislin, and original guitarist Richard Williams.

Kansas‘ latest album and fifteenth overall LP release, The Prelude Implicit, came out in 2016 through Inside Out. The band have also confirmed plans to release a new record in 2020.
