Acid King by Raymond Ahner

San Francisco doom/stoner metal trio Acid King will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1999 second full-length album on Man’s Ruin Records, Busse Woods, with a just revealed U.S. tour.

“For the old fans that bought this record twenty years ago, I hope they’re excited to hear the songs all played for the first time like this,” said singer/guitarist Lori S.. “By the same token, I hope that a lot of new fans who haven’t heard it live also have a special experience. We’re going out of our way to make it special for everyone. It’s what Acid King was always meant to be.”

Featuring support from Wizard Rifle and Warish, the 21-city hike lands in NY for shows at Buffalo’s Mohawk Place on September 28 [TIX], and Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory on September 30 [TIX]. The tour also hits Boston’s Sonia on September 29, Philly’s Johnny Brenda’s on October 1, and more. All dates are listed below.

In more news, RidingEasy Records are planning to reissue Busse Woods on August 30th. The effort comes in vinyl format in multiple colors and “with in-depth liner notes and never before seen photos.”

Additionally, Wizard Rifle recently dropped their new song, “Rocket to Hell” (stream it below).
