Devourment unleash new song “Narcissistic Paraphilia”

Texas brutal death metal slammers Devourment have premiered (via Metal Injection) their new song, “Narcissistic Paraphilia,” which comes off their new full-length album, Obscene Majesty, set for release on August 16th through Relapse Records. Stream the ripper below.

Regarding the cut, the band say:

The song focuses on the internal monologue of the archetypal serial killer’s psychology. One that is typified by pathological narcissism and auditory hallucinations. The kind that can compel a seemingly mild-mannered person to pursue a life filled with debased violence, mayhem, fear, and death.

Devourment were set to play New York Deathfest 7 at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on August 3, though they were forced to drop off. Regardless, the evening features what’s sure to be killers sets by Dehumanized, Regurgitation, Afterbirth, Bound By The Grave and many more. Get tickets.

Looking forward, Devourment are set to play ‘California Deathfest Prefest’ (w/ Fiend, Funebrarum, BRUCExCAMPBELL) in LA on July 26, and Texas shows (w/ Despised Icon, Shadow of Intent, Kublai Khan, Ingested) at Gas Monkey Bar & Grill in Dallas on October 3, and The Ballroom at Warehouse Live in Houston on October 4.
