ProgPower USA 2020 has been pushed to next year

ProgPower USA 2020 – initially planned for September 9 -12 in Atlanta, GA – has been officially cancelled/postponed with plans to return next year. The new dates are now September 8 – 11, 2021.

Here’s a message from festival promoter and organizer Glenn Harveston:

As Harveston notes, 19 of 21 bands from this year’s scheduled gathering will perform at next year’s festivities. Replacement bands, if any, will be announced in July. Headliners Conception and Rhapsody have been confirmed to perform next year. This year’s fest also lists the likes of Ihsahn, The Gathering, The Night Flight Orchestra, Witherfall and others. Additionally, a GoFundMe page was created to help ProgPower recover funds lost due to having to cancel band visas this year. In one day, the campaign raised over $25k, and is officially closed to any new donations.

A statement from ProgPower reads:

We are absolutely in awe of your support.

This campaign was a remarkable movement in our community that demonstrates family is not always blood and that the power of music can indeed unite us and do incredible things.

Thank you seems insufficient. We definitely feel the love, support and commitment from all corners of the world, and for that, we are both eternally grateful.

This global pandemic has impacted us all one way or another and we realize many are struggling financially and also personally. Our hearts go out to everyone affected, as this virus is definitely not to be taken lightly. Please stay safe and take care of yourselves.

September 2021 will be here before we know it and we will make it epic.

Here’s a thank you message from Glenn:
