Australian deathcore outfit A Night In Texas will release their fifth studio album, The Darkest Side of Humanity, on September 4 through Unique Leader Records.
Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the album’s first single, “Metastatic Misery,” accompanied by an official music video.
According to the band, the track is “a scathing critique of the commercialization of disease and the industries that profit from human suffering,” focusing on how cancer treatment can become a commodity while questioning “the morality of turning humanity’s most vulnerable moments into a source of financial gain.”
Produced by guitarist Cory Judd and mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson, The Darkest Side of Humanity explores themes including death, suffering, mortality, deception, and the darker aspects of human nature. The record also features guest appearances from Rheese Peters on “The Chronicles Of Nihilism” and Ryan Vail on “The Infinite Maw.”
