Aerosmith will return to the stage for two special concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29 and November 1.
Dubbed California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, the two-night celebration will honor Aerosmith’s career and feature a large lineup of guests performing alongside the band.
The Black Crowes, RUN DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses members Duff McKagan and Slash, Eric Church, Alice in Chains members Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez, Marcus King, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Train frontman Pat Monahan, Sammy Hagar, Steve Stevens, Godsmack’s Sully Erna and Tom Morello are among the artists currently announced.
Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed and Kenny Aronoff will also participate, with Don Was serving as music director. Additional artists and special guests are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The lineup will vary between the two nights, with final nightly lineups set to be revealed at or near showtime.
The concerts mark a return to the stage for Aerosmith and will celebrate more than five decades of the band’s music, including songs such as “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Crazy,” “Cryin’” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”
The Hollywood Bowl appearances come after Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring in 2024 due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. The band had been forced to cancel the remaining dates of their Peace Out farewell tour after Tyler suffered a fractured larynx.
Citi cardmembers will have access to a presale beginning Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m. PDT. Additional presales will take place ahead of the general on-sale Saturday, October 10 at 10 a.m. PDT.
