Amerakin Overdose have released a new track, “Oxygen,” along with a premiere of the official music video. The song arrives as the band continues to build toward their upcoming live run, The Point of No Return shows, alongside additional festival appearances.
Lead vocalist Cody Perez describes “Oxygen” as exploring dependency and emotional entrapment: “’Oxygen’ is about the dangerous illusion of dependency—the belief that you can’t survive without someone or something, even when it’s destroying you. It’s about mistaking poison for air, and the struggle to break free from the things we cling to for survival.”
The band also shared their excitement about returning to Rock Fest and getting back on the road: “We are beyond thankful and excited to be a part of the big Rock Fest for the 3rd time. The festival is amazing. This gives us an excuse to play some shows along the way and play in some cities we don’t really get to play often. If we are playing anywhere within a couple of hours away, our show is worth making the drive. Come see us and let’s rage!”
“Oxygen” is now streaming on all major platforms, with the official video available below. The track was produced by Jonny Santos (Spineshank) and Nikolas Roy Quemtri, with the video filmed and edited by Drumwell Media.
