Antichrist Magazine reveals Mayhem tribute album feat. underground metal bands

Antichrist Magazine has announced A Tribute to Mayhem, a new compilation featuring underground metal bands covering songs from throughout the Norwegian black metal group’s career. The release is scheduled for November 20, 2026, via Bandcamp and YouTube.

The tribute brings together artists from Europe and the Americas, with interpretations of material spanning Mayhem’s early recordings through their later albums.

Among the featured tracks are “Deathcrush,” performed by Spain’s Wolfabyss, “Chainsaw Gutsfuck” by Poland’s Vephar, and “Freezing Moon” by Impía Maleficencia, whose members hail from Argentina, Chile and Spain.

Other selections include “Buried by Time and Dust” by Serbia’s Oskrnavitelj, “Life Eternal” by Sweden’s Dead Sleep and Ireland’s Horrenda, and “From the Dark Past” by Norway’s Myrholt.

The compilation also explores Mayhem’s later catalog, with Bulgaria’s Nödtveidt covering “Grand Declaration of War,” France’s Ialdabaoth taking on “Psywar,” and American act Incineratus performing “Worthless Abominations Destroyed.”

The project aims to highlight Mayhem’s influence on underground metal while giving participating artists an opportunity to reinterpret songs from different periods of the band’s history.

A Tribute to Mayhem will be available November 20 through Antichrist Magazine’s Bandcamp page and YouTube.
