Butcher Babies have announced their new album, Nightbloom, set for release on October 2 via Judge & Jury Records (pre-save).
Alongside the announcement, the band have released the official music video for “Blame It on the Wind,” the latest single from the upcoming 10-track record.
Nightbloom was produced by Howard Benson, with Joe Rickard, Neil Sanderson and Henry Flury serving as co-producers. Cameron Pierce Mizell and Evan McKeever also provided additional production on “Songbird.”
Vocalist Heidi Shepherd says much of the album was inspired by personal experiences she began confronting through therapy, with the songs addressing heartbreak, loss, betrayal and other difficult moments from her past.
She explained: “This new album isn’t about the suffering, it’s about the survival.”
Shepherd added: “These songs were born from memories of heartbreak, uncertainty, betrayal, and pain. But they’re not just about those subjects, they’re more about what grew because of them.”
Butcher Babies will support Nightbloom with extensive touring this summer and fall, including dates with Chad Gray of Mudvayne and Hellyeah. The band will also perform at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY on September 18.
