Dead by Wednesday unleash new video single “Flesh”

Connecticut metal veterans Dead By Wednesday have officially signed with the recently revived Combat Records and are celebrating the partnership with the release of their crushing new single, “Flesh.”

The track serves as the first taste of the band’s upcoming EP, which is currently slated for release in early 2027 through Combat Records and Mindsnap Music. Following strong reactions during recent live performances, “Flesh” quickly emerged as a fan favorite, prompting the band to make it the lead single from the forthcoming release. The song will also appear on the official Milwaukee Metal Fest promotional compilation.

Alongside the single’s release, Dead By Wednesday have unveiled an accompanying music video, filmed in New York City and directed by Grammy-nominated filmmaker Tom Flynn, known for his work with numerous artists throughout the metal world.

The band is also set to appear at this year’s Milwaukee Metal Fest, curated by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta. Dead By Wednesday will perform on Sunday, June 7, at 4:45 p.m. on the BLK II BLK / Copycats Media Stage at The Rave Bar.

Speaking about the new track, guitarist Dave Sharpe described “Flesh” as one of the band’s heaviest songs to date while still maintaining the groove-driven foundation that has long defined Dead By Wednesday’s sound.

“Flesh” was engineered and recorded by Jeff Weed before being mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by Ricky Bonazza of Fear Factory and Butcher Babies.
