German electronicore favorites Electric Callboy have released “The Way You Are,” the latest single from their upcoming album, TANZNEID, which arrives August 7.
The new track opens as a nostalgic late-’90s-inspired boy band-style love song before taking a sharp turn into one of the heaviest songs the band has released, blending polished pop melodies with crushing deathcore.
The band said of the song: “‘The Way You Are’ started with a pretty simple idea: what if the sweetest late-’90s boy band love ballad suddenly turned into one of the heaviest songs we’ve ever written? We loved playing with that contrast, both musically and visually. The result is probably one of the most unexpected songs we’ve ever released, and definitely one of our favorites on TANZNEID.”
The accompanying music video follows the same concept, beginning as a nostalgic boy band fantasy before descending into a blood-soaked horror-inspired finale.
“The Way You Are” is the latest preview of TANZNEID, following previously released tracks including “RATATATA,” “Hypercharged,” “Let The Good Times Roll,” “Revery,” “Still Waiting,” “TANZNEID,” and “Elevator Operator.”
Electric Callboy will celebrate the album’s release with a release party in Berlin on August 7, followed by Escalation Fest 2026, before launching dates in Japan, Australia, the UK, and Europe.
