Rock behemoths Foo Fighters have announced a special show at the Coney Island Amphitheater in New York City for this Sunday, September 12th — get tickets here.
The Foo will be in town for the VMAs this Sunday; the band will be performing at the gathering and are scheduled to receive a Global Icon Award, as well.
The band teased the Coney Island show a few days ago with a tweet that read: “What to do while in #Brooklyn for #VMAs?” They followed that message with: “Maybe an end of summer vacation vibe? #Brooklyn,” followed by a vintage photo of rock icon Debbie Harry and late music journalist Lester Bangs hanging out in Coney Island.
