Gorillaz are hitting the road tonight, September 17, kicking off their first extensive North American tour since 2022.
“The Mountain Tour” gets underway at Kia Center in Orlando and will make its way across the U.S. and Canada over the next six weeks. The run includes 22 arena shows along with a September 20 appearance at Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, before wrapping up Halloween night in Seattle.
Damon Albarn will be joined by the Gorillaz live band and special guests throughout the tour. Little Simz will appear on most dates, while Deltron 3030 are set to join the entire run.
The tour arrives in support of Gorillaz’s latest album, The Mountain, which was released February 27 through the band’s KONG label. The record includes collaborations with Sparks, IDLES, Bizarrap, Yasiin Bey, Omar Souleyman, Kara Jackson, Anoushka Shankar and others.
New York fans will get their turn September 29, when Gorillaz headline Madison Square Garden with Little Simz and Deltron 3030 [TIX]. The tour also stops nearby at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey on September 27 [TIX].
