Hard rock supergroup Iconic have unleashed their latest single, “Valley of Lost Souls,” along with an accompanying lyric video, offering another preview of their upcoming sophomore album, II, due out July 31, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.
The all-star lineup features Nathan James (vocals), Michael Sweet (guitar), Joel Hoekstra (guitar), Marco Mendoza (bass), and Tommy Aldridge (drums), with keyboards by Antonio Agate and backing vocals from Marco Pastorino.
Speaking on the new track, guitarist Michael Sweet said: “What a thrill it is to create and release music with such legends. ‘Valley of Lost Souls’ is another song that solidifies who we are as a band and perfectly represents our goal – to remind people of the power of rock.”
Guitarist Joel Hoekstra added: “Big thanks to Frontiers for the opportunity to make music with these guys! I hope you enjoy ‘Valley of Lost Souls’ as much as I enjoyed playing/recording it!”
Bassist Marco Mendoza also shared his excitement: “Here’s another killer track! Flying high with the ICONIC flag, great band! Enjoy!”
Following their self-titled debut, II finds Iconic leaning further into a heavier, more focused sound. Frontiers describes the record as a defining statement for the band, driven by the guitar tandem of Sweet and Hoekstra, the powerhouse rhythm section of Mendoza and Aldridge, and the commanding vocals of Nathan James.
The album opens with the hard-hitting “Cry No More” and also features the soaring power ballad “Tears Keep On Falling,” showcasing the group’s ability to balance heavy riffs with melodic songwriting.
