Swedish metalcore band Imminence have released their new single “If Not Now, When,” the latest preview of their upcoming sixth studio album, Axis Mundi, due out October 2 via Sumerian Records.
“If Not Now, When” combines gritty guitars and haunting melodies with a ’90s grunge-inspired atmosphere, while vocalist Eddie Berg’s signature violin plays a prominent role throughout the track.
The song arrives alongside a cinematic music video continuing the narrative established in the previously released “The Sword That Never Bends” and “False Light.” Set within a dark medieval fantasy world, the ongoing story follows an immortal knight condemned to wander endlessly in search of the one thing he cannot attain: death.

Axis Mundi finds Imminence continuing to blend metalcore with orchestral elements, atmospheric rock and cinematic influences. The album was self-produced by the band alongside longtime collaborator Henrik Udd (Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Dayseeker), with additional production from Drew Fulk (Knocked Loose, Twenty One Pilots, HEALTH).
Following the album’s release, Imminence will embark on a North American headlining tour with Dying Wish and Gaerea. The trek kicks off November 13 in Worcester, MA and runs through December 13 in Montreal, QC.
