Tulsa, Oklahoma heavy metallers The Agony Scene have announced the unfortunate death of their bassist and backing vocalist Jay White.
Via social media, the band wrote the following today:
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we regretfully inform you all of the passing of our friend and bandmate Jay White.
Jay was a uniquely special individual who made a serious impact in his short time on this earth. He was a true force of nature that we will all miss dearly.
Rest easy, we love you Jay.

Just last month, those close to Jay launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist Jay with an undisclosed illness. Over the past two months Jay had been “in and out of hospital stays, under strict dialysis treatments,” says the crowdfunding post. As of recent, Jay was being treated at the OSU Medical Center. An exact cause of death has not been revealed.
