John Carpenter releases new single “Revenge” from upcoming ‘Cathedral’ album

John Carpenter has released his new single “Revenge,” the latest track from his upcoming album Cathedral, arriving August 7 via Sacred Bones Records (pre-order).

The song is part of Carpenter’s larger Cathedral project, which serves as the soundtrack to his first original graphic novel of the same name, released on August 4 via Storm King Comics.

Created alongside Sandy King and Sean Sobczak, Cathedral follows a police investigation into an ancient evil hidden within an abandoned church in downtown Los Angeles.

“Revenge” follows the previously released tracks “Lord of the Underground” and “The Ferryman,” with each song on the album corresponding to a chapter of the graphic novel.
