Dutch psychedelic rock formation Molassess has shared “The Devil Lives,” the third single from their upcoming debut full-length, ‘Through the Hollow.’ The new track “The Devil Lives” can be found along with an accompanying visualizer, which was created by S. de Jager, at THIS LOCATION [also embedded below].
The band comments: “Our brother [Selim Lemouchi] left us this diamond in the rough years ago. A riddle that kept resonating and found its way up and into our hearts time after time. It is with great pride, eternal love, an ever-burning fire and gratitude that we finally managed to climb its stairs.
This is what we’ve found along the way, beneath its stirring coils.
THE DEVIL LIVES.”
Featuring four musicians from The Devil’s Blood, Molassess was formed upon being commissioned for a performance during the 2019 edition of Roadburn Festival. Yet, Molassess is not a continuation of a buried past, nor a celebration of a cherished collaborator, but a culmination of heartache, requisite resolution, a rediscovery of rage and the relighting of a fire that never really burned out.
