Myrath have put their own spin on Sting’s “Shape of My Heart,” reworking the 1993 track with the Tunisian-French band’s mix of progressive metal and Middle Eastern influences.
The cover follows the release of Myrath’s latest album, Wilderness of Mirrors, and arrives after the first leg of the band’s European tour, which included several sold-out shows.
Rather than sticking closely to the original, Myrath have expanded “Shape of My Heart” with heavier arrangements and Eastern melodies while retaining the song’s more reflective character.
Wilderness of Mirrors features 10 tracks, including “Until the End,” “Breathing Near The Roar,” “Les Enfants Du Soleil” and “Still the Dawn Will Come.”
