P.O.D. have released their new single “Outbreak,” featuring guest vocals from Norma Jean frontman Cory Brandan.
Produced by Will Yip, the track marks P.O.D.’s first new original music since their 2024 album, Veritas. The collaboration with Brandan came together after P.O.D. and Norma Jean toured the U.S. together in 2024.
“This is possibly one of the heaviest songs P.O.D. has ever written, so we wanted to showcase a guest vocalist who reflected that,” vocalist Sonny Sandoval said. “Cory’s voice and tone bring a specific intensity and command that draws you in.”
Guitarist Marcos Curiel said the song was inspired by the band’s interest in zombie movies and video games.
“As avid fans of zombie apocalypse, video games, and movies, it seemed only fitting to compose a song about this topic,” Curiel explained. “The song delicately straddles the line between nonfiction and fiction. It’s fun yet hard-hitting, bridging the gap between what’s real and what’s not.”
“Outbreak” arrives alongside a zombie-themed music video. Viewer discretion is advised, as the video contains scenes some may find disturbing.
P.O.D. will continue touring through the end of 2026, with upcoming appearances in the U.S., Mexico and Australia.
