Porno For Pyros – the California-based alternative rock band featuring Jane’s Addiction members Perry Farrell (vocals) and Stephen Perkins (drums), along with founding members Peter DiStefano (guitar) and Martyn LeNoble (bass) – have been forced to postpone their previously announced first tour in 25 years.
The U.S. and Canadian trek was set to kick off on October 8th at the Hard Rock Live Sacramento in Wheatland, CA, with stops scheduled across North America in Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, and more before ending in Austin, TX at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on November 20th.
On social media, the band say, “Petrons, We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years, and are anxious to celebrate with you. Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music – that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows.”
They add, “Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time. So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished.”
Ending with, “Listen up for the new music in the upcoming weeks and keep an eye out for new tour dates. We’re coming! – Porno for Pyros.”
