The Smashing Pumpkins touring w/ Interpol, Stone Temple Pilots & Rival Sons

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their 26-date North American ‘The World Is A Vampire Tour,’ which sees support from Interpol, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rival Sons in select markets.

The run begins on July 28th in Las Vegas, NV and is set to hit venues in Irvine, Dallas, Holmdel, Toronto and more before closing out on September 9th in Noblesville, IN. See a complete list of upcoming shows below.

The Smashing Pumpkins mainman Billy Corgan comments on the impending outing:
“I grew up in a world where I needed to know bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed, it meant there was a place for people like me to hang out and belong. That’s what The World Is A Vampire is about. Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about having a shared experience and respecting others, but ultimately having fun. A true alternative festival, where all the self-proclaimed weirdos and outsiders of the world can get together and have a party.”

The Smashing Pumpkins also recently released their new single ‘Spellbinding,’ which you can check out below. The tune appears on the band’s ‘Atum: Act Three’ release, which is set to drop on May 5th (pre-order).
