Norwegian hard rock band Audrey Horne have released their new single “Achilles,” the title track from their forthcoming eighth studio album.
Achilles is set for release this Friday, September 4 through Napalm Records. The new track arrives with an official lyric video and showcases a more progressive side of the band’s sound.
“‘Achilles’ is a song about the ‘us vs. them’ situation in today’s increasingly polarized world,” the band explained. “It is also the title track from our new album and shows a bit more progressive side of the band.”
Audrey Horne added that the song quickly emerged as the natural choice to open the record.
“When we started recording the album, this song stood out immediately as a perfect opening track, and it has an energetic drive that will fit us perfectly on stage as well,” the band said. “We hope you guys like it as much as we do. Peace and love, Audrey Horne.”
Achilles features 11 tracks and follows the band’s 2022 album, Devil’s Bell. Other songs on the record include “God Damn Beautiful,” which features bassist Espen Lien on lead vocals, along with “Insanity” and closing track “New Star Falling.”
Audrey Horne will support the album with a series of shows beginning this week in Norway, followed by a European headline tour launching October 8 in Cologne, Germany.
