Black Flag vocalist Max Zanelly will sit out the band’s upcoming fall U.S. tour due to an issue with her work visa.
The band announced the news on social media, confirming that London Downey will step in on vocals for the entire run while Zanelly works to resolve the visa issue.
“Important notice: Our singer Max Zanelly has hit an issue regarding her work visa,” Black Flag said. “Max is working on resolving the issue, but will not be able to sing on the upcoming tour.”
The band continued: “For the tour, our friend London Downey has stepped in on vocals. We are grateful for London’s willingness to participate on such short notice. He will do an amazing job. Max is looking forward to seeing everyone soon!”
Zanelly joined Black Flag earlier this year, taking over vocal duties following the departure of Mike Vallely.
The upcoming U.S. trek is scheduled to kick off in September and continue through the fall with Downey handling vocals.
