Boundaries have released their new single “May this pain never leave,” the latest preview of their upcoming album Yearning: the unbeautiful after, due out July 17 via Sumerian Records (pre-order). The track arrives alongside a new performance video filmed at The Webster Underground in Hartford, Connecticut, directed by Sarah Holick.
The band describe the song as a direct reflection on grief and loss, written following the 2025 plane crash that claimed the lives of several people close to the band. Vocalist Matthew McDougal said the track explores how pain and memory are closely tied to love and loss, and the difficulty of processing sudden tragedy.
The new album has already been previewed through singles including “Death Will Follow Me,” “Skies Cast Amber Black,” and “Only Endless,” and was recorded with producer Drew Fulk. Yearning: the unbeautiful after features guest appearances from The Plot In You’s Landon Tewers and Make Them Suffer.
Boundaries will continue touring throughout 2026, including upcoming festival appearances at Warped Tour and Louder Than Life, followed by a fall North American run with Knocked Loose.
