Former Under Fallen Skies & Screaming in Silence vocalist Brian Winkelman dies

Former Under Fallen Skies and Screaming In Silence vocalist Brian Winkelman has passed away following a battle with cancer.

Winkelman’s longtime bandmate Nicholas Tagliamburis shared the news on social media, remembering his friend, brother, and collaborator:

“This is one of the hardest days of my life. I can’t believe you’re gone my friend, brother and band mate. I love and miss you dearly. You have brought so much enjoyment to my life both in music and personal. The battle is over my friend, may your memory be eternal.”

Tagliamburis also reflected on Winkelman’s impact beyond music, highlighting his generosity, kindness, and the personal connections he made throughout his life.

“He had touched so many lives around us with his generosity and kindness and love. So anyone out there with a Redbeard guitar strap, amp, drinking horn or anything else made by his hands, you have a piece of him.”

Winkelman and Tagliamburis were previously members of metal band Screaming In Silence, which announced an indefinite hiatus in August 2022. Following the hiatus, the pair continued their musical journey by forming Under Fallen Skies, carrying their heavy sound forward with a new project.

As news of Winkelman’s passing spreads, fans and friends continue to remember his contributions as a musician, craftsman, and the lasting impression he left on those around him.

Our thoughts go out to Brian Winkelman’s family, friends, bandmates, and everyone who knew him.

A GoFundMe campaign was previously created to help support Brian during his cancer battle and cover medical expenses. Those wishing to contribute or share their support can find the campaign here.
