Caspian release ‘Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey with Caspian’ documentary

Beverly, MA post-rockers Caspian have released a full-length documentary, titled “Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey with Caspian,” surrounding their recently released LP dubbed ‘On Circles.’ The effort is available for a limited time rental HERE.

A full statement from the band reads:

As you may have suspected, we have to officially cancel the remainder of our North American dates scheduled for this May and June. When and if we can resume touring still remains in the realm of conjecture. With live music stuck in limbo at the moment and nobody knowing what lies ahead, it’s a strange time to be campaigning behind a new album and to be cut off from doing what we love to do the most, which has always been playing live music. Everyone’s support has been affirming to us during this interim and to the many other bands caught in the same position. Thanks for helping us keep the fire burning. Most of all though, thanks for playing by the rules amidst this global health crisis by staying home and being safe and responsible.

With all of this in mind, we’ve decided to throw everything we have right now at the release of our documentary film, “Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey with Caspian,” directed by Ryan Mackfall (Slayer, Deftones, “Castles High, Marble Bright”). This film was originally intended to be a shorter marketing piece, but considering the current circumstances, we got the green light to release the FULL 48 minute document to everyone. And what a document it is, which is all we’ll say about it until you can see it for yourself. Please join us for the world premiere today at 11 am eastern on Vimeo. A portion of proceeds will go to HAWC (https://hawcdv.org/), a local charity in Salem, Mass. benefiting victims of domestic violence.

Please spread the word about the release of this film to all. Trust us, you’ve NEVER seen Caspian like this.

Additionally, the announcement notes:

The rental is $7 for a seven day viewing period. Guitar player Philip Jamieson and director Ryan Mackfall host an Instagram (@caspianofficial) Q&A on May 4 at 3 pm, discussing the making of the film and taking audience questions.

In the weeks leading up to On Circles’ release, the band members discussed their thoughts and shared stories from the album’s writing and recording sessions via the four-episode podcast series, “Talking in Circles” (Apple: https://apple.co/2RhBWuu; Stitcher: https://bit.ly/2GiuGIt). The band culminated the countdown to the collection’s arrival with a pair of sold out listening experiences at Boston’s Museum of Science Planetarium, a celebratory evening that saw the 46-minute release come alive via jaw-dropping visuals.

Limited vinyl variations can be found via the Triple Crown Records’ webstore (https://store.triplecrownrecords.com/oncircles) with download and streaming services linked here: http://smarturl.it/caspiantheband.
