Heavy doom metal trio Castle have released a new music video for “Evil Nun,” a track from their recently released seventh studio album, Carrie Chains. The band have also announced a UK and European tour scheduled for February and March 2027.
Directed by Brooklyn filmmaker and digital artist Brian Davis, the “Evil Nun” video draws inspiration from Italian cinema of the 1970s and ’80s, presenting a fictional opening credit sequence for an imagined film titled Sorella Malvagia.
According to the video’s description, the concept follows a clairvoyant rock singer who envisions a gateway to Hell opening beneath New York City, while Rasputin leads a group of anarchic nuns terrorizing Brooklyn.

Castle released Carrie Chains through Hammerheart Records. The eight-track album was recorded at RainCity Recorders in Vancouver with producer Jesse Gander and features bassist/vocalist Liz Blackwell, guitarist/vocalist Mat Davis and drummer Mike Cotton.
The record follows the band’s 2024 album Evil Remains and was recorded live in the studio, marking a first for the group.
Alongside the new video, Castle have confirmed an extensive UK and European tour beginning February 26, 2027, in London and concluding March 27 in Dresden, Germany. The run includes appearances at Into The Shadows 6.0 Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands, and Heavy Metal Thunder Festival in Písek, Czech Republic.
The band commented on the upcoming shows: “On the heels of our new album Carrie Chains we are extremely excited to be able to play the new set in the UK and Europe. Come and experience the live ritual for yourself.”
The group added that the trek will mark their first proper UK tour and include several European cities they have not previously visited.
Before heading overseas next spring, Castle will complete their current US tour, which wraps up October 30 in San Diego. The band will then return to Japan in December for their first performances there since 2016.
Carrie Chains is available through Hammerheart Records and the band’s official Bandcamp page.
