Cayle Sain, recognized for his drumming contributions with Twitching Tongues, Fuming Mouth, Ghostemane, Downpresser, and other notable projects, has regrettably passed away. The somber announcement was shared by Twitching Tongues on social media late Sunday night (December 10th) alongside the above photo accompanied by the message below. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
“Our beloved friend, brother, and drummer Cayle Sain has passed away.
Aside from his unmatched talent, Cayle had the biggest heart and was the most loyal and caring friend anyone could ask for. If you spent one minute with him, he loved you.
Rest in peace, and goodbye for now.”
Cayle joined Twitching Tongues in 2015, stepping in after the departure of drummer Michael Cesario. He made significant contributions to the band, including their latest full-length album on Metal Blade Records, titled ‘Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred.’
Fuming Mouth released the following statement regarding Cayle’s passing: “The greatest drummer to ever play in Fuming Mouth. Rest in peace Cayle Sain. You were a brilliant artist and an even better friend. Your smile alone was enough to remind everyone that everything was going to be ok. We love you.”
While with Fuming Mouth, Cayle played a crucial role in the creation of the band’s inaugural full-length record, ‘The Grand Descent,’ recorded by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at his renowned Godcity Studio (Every Time I Die, Nails, High on Fire).
Cayle also performed session drums for Ghostemane’s hardcore punk EP ‘Fear Network’ as well as the full-length ‘N/O/I/S/E.’
RIP, Cayle.
