Chiodos have officially entered a new era, announcing their signing with SharpTone Records and releasing their first new music in more than a decade with the new single “TAPDAT.”
The track arrives alongside an official music video and marks the band’s first new material since their return to the stage. Produced by Keith Sorrells, “TAPDAT” blends the chaotic energy, emotional intensity, and experimental approach that Chiodos fans have come to expect while pushing the band’s sound forward.
Frontman Craig Owens commented: “There is still so much work to be done to build out the world of Chiodos. TAPDAT is the first step in that direction. Its return to our ethos is what drew me back to creating with this band, and you can feel it throughout every minute of the song. An unapologetic, experimental ride that pulls you in every step of the way.”
Owens added: “As for the future of Chiodos, I’m surrounded by incredible talent. We are stronger, more focused than ever and eager to continue the story I’ve been waiting 12 years to tell.”
The new single follows a major resurgence for Chiodos that began in 2024 with the band’s 20th anniversary celebration of their debut album, All’s Well That Ends Well. The band returned to the stage for a sold-out North American headline tour and festival appearances at Warped Tour, Louder Than Life, and When We Were Young.
Earlier this year, the band’s fan-favorite track “Baby, You Wouldn’t Last a Minute on the Creek” was officially certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Chiodos will continue their comeback this summer with a North American headline tour featuring support from Second Harbour, Sace6, and 156/Silence.
