Cult of Luna have released their new single “A Way Back,” the latest track from their upcoming album, In The Shadow Of Your Shadow, due November 6 via RED CRK Recordings (pre-order/pre-save).
The slow-burning track follows the previously released title track and lead single. Co-vocalist and guitarist Fredrik Kihlberg explained the meaning behind “A Way Back”: “I often find myself trying to describe a recurring feeling, the sensation of being lost, trapped, or both, and the struggle to find a way out.”
He continued: “A way back to yourself, to a safe space, or simply finding a way to make it through when anxiety overwhelms you: at its core, that’s what this song is about.”
In The Shadow Of Your Shadow marks Cult of Luna’s tenth studio album and spans nine tracks and 71 minutes. The record was co-produced by Daniel Berglund and mixed by Magnus Lindberg.
The album also includes a pair of guest appearances, with Gojira’s Joe Duplantier featured on “Sadness Will Reign” and David Eugene Edwards appearing on “One More Day.”
