Dead on a Sunday drop off Wednesday 13 tour dates due to medical reasons

Dead on a Sunday have announced that they will miss the next week of shows on Wednesday 13’s current tour due to medical reasons.

The band confirmed the news in a statement shared on social media, explaining that medical professionals have advised a week of vocal rest.

“Sadly I must inform you that I’ve made the difficult decision of dropping off the next week of shows on the Wednesday 13 tour due to medical reasons,” the statement reads.

“This pains me to do so, as I hate letting fans down. Out of the 4 years we’ve been performing live in over 200+ shows, we have never cancelled a show.”

The statement continued: “I know this is extremely disappointing for everyone who was planning to attend, but I have been advised by healthcare professionals that I must take a week of vocal rest in order to continue.”

Dead on a Sunday will miss eight performances between October 8 and October 16, including stops in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New York.

The affected dates are:
October 8 – Lincoln, NE
October 9 – McHenry, IL
October 10 – Flint, MI
October 11 – Lakewood, OH
October 13 – Hamden, CT
October 14 – Lowell, MA
October 15 – Harrisburg, PA
October 16 – Syracuse, NY

The band also confirmed that VIP meet-and-greet purchases for the affected performances have been refunded.

“I promise you we will be back soon and give you the show you deserve,” the statement concluded.

Dead on a Sunday have not announced any additional changes to their touring schedule beyond October 16.
