Orlando punk rock band Dial Drive have announced that Kevin Wright is no longer a member of the group, citing unspecified recent circumstances.
The group shared the news in a statement on social media, making it clear that Kevin is no longer associated with Dial Drive.
“Due to recent circumstances, Kevin is no longer a part of the band and is in no way associated with Dial Drive,” the band wrote.
When a fan asked for clarification about the circumstances surrounding the departure, Dial Drive responded that they were still trying to understand the situation themselves.
“We are learning about stuff at the same rate as everyone else,” the band explained. “Everything came out this morning. We don’t want to spread any misinformation until we can at least get an understanding as to what is happening. We’re just as pissed off and confused as everyone else right now.”
The band did not provide further details about the circumstances or identify a replacement.
Dial Drive also announced that, aside from a planned Alkaline Trio cover set in Orlando on Halloween, the remaining three members will take the rest of 2026 off from performing to focus on writing and recording new music.
The group expects to return to the stage in 2027.
