Elysia Danny "Lemonsqueeze" Lomeli dies, RIP

Elysia guitarist Danny “Lemonsqueeze” Lomeli dies

Elysia guitarist Danny “Lemonsqueeze” Lomeli has died, the band announced on social media. No cause of death was disclosed.

In a statement, the band said Lomeli had been a close friend and an important part of Elysia’s history since joining in 2007. They also reflected on his role in helping bring the band back together for its recent reunion, saying he “put so much work into making it come to fruition and he loved each moment with every fiber of his being.”

“It can’t be put into words how much this hurts and how much we will miss him,” the band wrote.

They also shared that the past year of rehearsals, shows, and time spent together during the reunion has taken on an even deeper meaning in light of his passing.

“We’ve all wondered what the big meaning was to our reunion, what it represented, and what impact it would have on the band’s legacy,” the statement reads. “It turns out, none of that really matters. It was all just so we could spend more time together and feel so much more closer to you.”

The band asked for privacy for Lomeli’s family and friends during this time. According to the statement, his family has launched a GoFundMe to help with funeral and memorial expenses.
