Ensiferum & Dark Tranquillity announce European co-headline tour

Finnish epic folk metal bunch Ensiferum and Swedish melo-death metal act Dark Tranquillity will join up for a spring 2022 co-headline run across Europe — check out all tour dates below. To celebrate the news, Ensiferum have released a new video for track “Run from the Crushing Tide” from their latest album on Metal Blade Records, ‘Thalassic‘ — check out the clip below.

Ensiferum bassist and vocalist Sammi Hinka comments: “After such a long time of darkness & uncertainty in the live music scene, we are very happy to finally reveal a light at the end of the tunnel! We’ll be joining forces with the legendary Dark Tranquillity for a massive co-headlining tour around Europe. It’s no secret that back in the day, Dark Tranquillity was one of the bands that inspired Markus Toivonen to start Ensiferum and now we are hitting the road with our heroes. How awesome is that?! Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne adds, “Let’s break the spell of silence and fear together this winter! Dark Tranquillity are trekking in support of their latest album titled ‘Moment,’ which they dropped in 2020 through Century Media Records.
