Enter Shikari release new single “Lightyears,” announce 2027 U.S. shows

Enter Shikari have released a new single, “Lightyears,” alongside the announcement of four U.S. headlining shows scheduled for January 2027.

The new track follows the recent release of “Higher Ground” and the band’s latest album, Lose Your Self, which arrived unexpectedly in April through So Recordings.

Frontman Rou Reynolds explained that “Lightyears” was inspired by revisiting old family home videos, which brought back memories of his childhood, loved ones who have passed away and places that no longer exist.

“Lightyears is not only me speaking to loved ones who are no longer with us, it’s also me speaking to my former self,” Reynolds said.

He added that watching footage of his younger self prompted him to reflect on how people treat themselves as they grow older.

The new music arrives following the band’s announcement of an indefinite hiatus. Enter Shikari also recently shared Live From The Golden Age, a four-track live session directed by Tom Pullen that includes the first live performance of “Higher Ground.”

Meanwhile, the band have confirmed four additional U.S. shows for January 2027, beginning January 27 at Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The run continues through Orlando, Atlanta and Nashville, following their previously announced appearance aboard the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise on January 22.

Enter Shikari are also scheduled to perform at Treefort Music Fest in Boise, Idaho, on April 3.

Artist presale tickets are available now, with general tickets going on sale Friday, October 30, at 10 AM local time.

Before returning to North America, Enter Shikari will embark on a UK and European arena tour in November with Holding Absence and The Callous Daoboys.
