Long Island crossover thrash band Extinction A.D. have released a cover of Alice Cooper’s “Feed My Frankenstein,” accompanied by an official lyric video.
The Halloween-themed release marks the band’s ninth single of 2026 as part of their ongoing plan to release one new song each month.
“‘Feed My Frankenstein’ would come up half as a gag,” vocalist and guitarist Rick Jimenez said, recalling conversations about potential cover songs. “We all grew up with and love the movie Wayne’s World that this song appears in and the placement of it in that movie is rad.”
Jimenez explained that the band’s monthly singles project provided the opportunity to finally record the track, adding their own heavier guitar sound and vocal approach while retaining the original’s keyboard elements.
“So much of what we do musically is deadly serious so it was enjoyable to do something purely lighthearted,” he added.
The cover follows eight previously released singles this year, including “Escape From L.I.,” “They Live, They Die,” “Center Of Zero,” “Truth and Consequences” featuring Incendiary’s Brian Audley, “Thaw,” “Dead Men Running,” “Blood Hoax” and “Insomnia.”
