During a new appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, Chris Jericho discussed Fozzy’s recently released music video for “I Know Evil,” but also revealed new details about a project he’s been working on with Alex Van Halen involving previously unseen Van Halen archive material.
When asked by host Eddie Trunk about reports surrounding Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth, Jericho confirmed he’s involved in an upcoming project with the legendary drummer, though he stressed that the timing of any announcement is entirely up to Van Halen.
“There is a lot of VH material out there that nobody has ever seen,” Jericho said. “When Alex is ready to announce that, you’ll hear all about it.”
Jericho compared the collection to The Beatles: Get Back, suggesting fans will finally get access to decades-old footage that has remained in the vault.
“There’s a lot of Van Halen stuff like that that’s out there, that when he’s ready, it’s going to blow everybody’s minds.”
While Jericho declined to reveal his specific role in the project, he said he’ll discuss it publicly only when Van Halen decides the time is right.
“Al’s the boss… When he’s ready to go, I’ll be right there with him. Whatever he needs me to do, I’ll do it. But until then, I’m letting him call the shots.”
Jericho also praised Van Halen, calling him “a great guy” while noting the drummer has always preferred to work on his own timeline.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jericho and PJ Farley discussed Fozzy’s new “I Know Evil” music video, explaining that the live performance clip was inspired by Guns N’ Roses’ classic “Paradise City” video and features footage from the band’s recent UK tour and major festival appearances.
