Frank Turner has announced that he will step away from touring following the 2027 edition of his Lost Evenings festival in London.
Turner shared the news on social media, revealing that the four Lost Evenings shows at OVO Arena Wembley in November 2027 will be his final live performances for the foreseeable future.
“After 28 years on the road, 10 albums and well over 3,000 shows, it’s time for a change,” Turner wrote. “The 4 shows there will be my last for the foreseeable future.”
Turner explained that several factors contributed to the decision, including wanting to spend more time with friends and family, pursue other projects and take better care of his physical and mental health. He also cited the increasing difficulty of touring economics and changes within the music industry.
“I want to recharge, spend more time with my friends and family, and explore other ways of life,” he said. “I’m excited to pursue other ideas and projects.”
Turner stressed that he does not know when he will return to performing live, but stopped short of calling the decision a retirement.
“I genuinely don’t know when I’ll play shows again in the future. Certainly not for a good while,” he wrote. “So let’s make these final ones count.”
Turner also thanked The Sleeping Souls, his touring crew, longtime label Xtra Mile Recordings and the fans who have supported him throughout his career.
“I want to leave the stage with my head high,” he added. “These final shows will be a pinnacle, and chance for all of us to celebrate the last 20 years and bid them the farewell they deserve.”
The final edition of Lost Evenings will take place at OVO Arena Wembley in London in November 2027, with further details to be announced.
