Boston hardcore band Haywire have released the official music video for “Flex Your Head,” featuring footage from their recent guerrilla performance in New York City’s Times Square, which was shut down by the NYPD.
The video, directed by Luis Hernandez and filmed by Wes Knoll, Anthony Ryan Tripoli and Stephen Michael Simon, captures the band’s impromptu performance and the crowd that gathered before police brought the show to an end.
“Flex Your Head” appears on Haywire’s new album, I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye, which is out now through Roadrunner Records.
The eight-track record was produced by Citizen’s Mat Kerekes and mixed by Taylor Young. Recorded in Leeds, UK, and Toledo, Ohio, the album includes guest appearances from members of Nothing, The Aggrolites, Death Threat and Eyes Of The Lord, along with Cheyenne Snider and Kerekes.
The new video arrives as Haywire prepare for an extensive touring schedule that includes dates in Australia, the UK, Europe, the United States and Canada.
The band will perform at Pressure Point Fest in Missouri on November 13 and Vans Warped Tour in Orlando on November 15 before heading to Australia for a series of headlining shows and dates supporting Rise Against alongside Dropkick Murphys.
In January, Haywire will tour the UK before joining Comeback Kid for a European run. Their North American headlining tour begins in February and continues through April, with GVLLOW and Dark Thoughts supporting on U.S. dates and Béton Armé joining for the Canadian leg.
Special record release shows are also scheduled for March 11 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and April 4 at Roadrunner in Boston.
