Kevin “Merx” Mercado, guitarist for New York City rock band Honor Among Thieves, has died.
The band announced Mercado’s passing today, stating that he died at home Tuesday morning following what appeared to be a sudden and severe asthma attack.
Honor Among Thieves shared the following message:
Tuesday morning Kevin ‘Merx’ Mercado died at home from what looked to be a sudden and severe asthma attack. The entire Honor Among Thieves family sends their deepest condolences out to Merx’s family. Craig, Kevin and Dave are crushed. They’ll let you know what happens next. But for now, know that you are loved Merx Mercado and to say that you will be missed is an understatement. Rest in Peace brother.
