Howard Jones & Adam Dutkiewicz announce Burn Eternal, sign w/ Metal Blade

Former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones and guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have officially announced their new project, Burn Eternal, along with a record deal with Metal Blade Records.

The announcement marks a reunion between the two musicians, who previously worked together during Jones’ tenure with Killswitch Engage from 2002 to 2012. Their collaboration produced albums including The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies, helping establish the band as one of metalcore’s leading acts.

Burn Eternal’s debut album has already been completed, although a release date and additional details have yet to be announced. The project’s first official music release is expected soon.

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce Burn Eternal joining forces with Metal Blade for our debut album,” Jones commented. “The whole team has been amazing, and we can’t wait to get this music out. From an idea while having lunch in London to a completed album, this has been such a fun way to reconnect with my friend. Burn Eternal lives!”

Dutkiewicz added: “I am wicked excited to finally be able to share my project with Howard with all of you! It feels great to be hanging with an old friend and making more music with him. We’re just two goofballs just dicking around in the studio again.”

He also praised the band’s new label home, saying, “We are also excited to be putting it out with the Metal Blade family. Mostly because they truly feel like family, not a corporation. Good vibes abound!”

Metal Blade Records founder and CEO Brian Slagel welcomed the project, stating: “As a huge fan of both Howard and Adam, it is a huge honor to welcome Burn Eternal to the Metal Blade family! I am excited for everyone to hear the record! As a fan, I love it!”

Jones and Dutkiewicz previously worked together on several Killswitch Engage releases, including 2004’s The End of Heartache, which earned the band a Grammy nomination, and 2006’s As Daylight Dies, which achieved Platinum certification in the United States.

Further information about Burn Eternal’s debut album and first single is expected to be revealed soon.
